This coming weekend is loaded with a nice list of interesting concerts, big parties and bustling dance events. The „Musik-Tanz-Ticker“ brings all the information you need to make your plans for the weekend. Open eyes and ears and start practice your dancing skills! Here is where the music sounds! Saturday, 29.03.

Ein krönender Abschluss
Abschlusskonzert des Klavierfestivals Tastentaumel im Staatstheater/Kleines Haus | 8:00pm |  15 Euro /12,- Euro
The sounds from a piano get directly to the heart without any detour. Over several days, the Tastentaumel festival has celebrated one of the greatest music instruments and deserves a worthy final. The event „Silent Lights 3 – piano elements – the live performance“ includes original sets of the pianist and composer Jan Behrens. The piano will be accompanied by a band and an exclusive video and light show by the artist Stefan Lohmann. Absolutely thrilling!

Kroner und der Wolf
Kroner & Peter der Wolf und seine Freunde in der Funzel | 8:00 pm
Peter the wolf howls again…. No… he is just excited to play again with his friends. Kult Tour was once there! Who is howling then this coming Saturday? Kroner with the wolfs and lions of Braunschweig, not bad right? This band has already played along with Revolverhead and Bosse, and is offering a concert this Saturday at the small but cozy Funzel bar (right in front of the APM guys 😉 )

Metal dich zu!
Metalabend im Onkel Emma | 9:00 pm | for free
This is definitively something rare: A pub – which is neither a „cocktail lounge“, nor a „latte macchiato temple“ – but just a good pub with cheap drinks and DJs – …watch out: neither „Electro“, nor „a cheeky mix of hipster and Black Music“ – but simple: Metal. Pure and 100% good Metal.

Musikweltmix im Kulturpunkt West
Marion und Steve im Kulturpunkt West | 8:00 pm | 10 Euro / 5 Euro
Since I got to know the Kulturpunkt West, there have been always multicultural and diverse music programs. This weekend the guests are Marion and Steve with their diatonic accordion and the clarinet to play awesome music and inspire the open-minded audience. Surely they will. Their style covers influences like classical, jazz and musette.

 (Auf)Mucken gegen Gewalt
…für ein Ende der Gewalt, Konzert-Party der Antifaschistischen Gruppe Braunschweig im Nexus | 9:00 pm | 3 Euro
Music should always strive for a good cause! The anti-fascist group Braunschweig invites us to 1. party and 2. a pretty decent Hardcore-Punk-concert. Four bands on stage: Rascal, Overcome, Commercial Suicide and Rebarker. Later the evening will continue with the mixes of DJ hin&wieder (Gö), Kalle Mags (Kitty & Kalle/Klinsh, BS) and Rick&Rüben (Common Time, BS) …musically different: Hardcore and  Deep- /Techhouse can party together (why not?). Very affordable beverages and the chance to support the AntiFa group with their important political actions are also included. Come and join the party!

Eine seltene Jazz-Perle
Joscheba in der Bassgeige | 8:00 pm | 13 Euro
Joscheba is a real pearl of jazz. Her voice has been acclaimed by many critics and unless the event remains as a secret, one should book a place at the most traditional Jazz-Bar in Braunschweig and then later have the chance to brag: I saw her in Braunschweig once! Because when she become famous, then it will be very hard to have her again in our city (FBZ is dead…).
So go to her concert. She will also be supported by more jazz musicians: drums, guitar, bass and trombones.

Elektronische Klangperlen im Brain
Licht & Liebe ft. Magit Cacoon im Brain | 23 Uhr
The later it gets, the prettier the guests! – and: the cooler the music, the sexier the dance.  Also in Braunschweig’s top electronic bar there will be a very special musician invited. Magit Cacoon from Berlin will spin the turntable and will surely delight us with very nice music. The artist has performed in places like Tel Aviv where she built her career. She has also established her own record label, Girl Scout. A very engaged public will be attending this light and love event. You will love it, BIG TIME.

Der Klang der Intellektuellen +++ fällt aus +++
Jazz Lounge – Rupert Stamm bei Graff | 17 Uhr | 15 Euro
The smart ones do not only read books, they listen also to Jazz at the meantime at the Jazz-Lounge inside the bookstore Graff. The Jazz musician, Rupert Stamm, offers this time a mix of new jazz, eastern melodies and African sounds from a diverse source of instruments. High quality world music!
