This coming weekend is loaded with a nice list of interesting concerts, big parties and bustling dance events. The “Musik-Tanz-Ticker” brings all the information you need to make your plans for the weekend and for the next week. Open eyes and ears and start practice your dancing skills! Thursday, 01.05.

Back to the Roots
Derrin Nauendorf im Schabreu (Berliner Str.) | 20 Uhr
At Schabreu‘s main entrance there is a sign, which says something like „Braunschweigs Music-Kneipe Nummer1“ – if I am not wrong. Everytime that I walk in front of that place I always ask myself: Why I have never been there before? And why do I hear so little about that place? Well, that’s about to end!  Derrin Nauendorf from Australia will be the night’s guest at Schabreu’s and will hopefully break the ice between me and the bar. Fine songwriting and australian roots music is what he offers. If you are also curious don’t think it twice to visit the Schabreu.

Friday, 02.05.

Finde den Hip Hop
Neonschwarz, Findus, Nicolas Sturm & Klingen Ensemble im Nexus | 21 Uhr | ca. 6 Euro
Hip Hop and Rap this friday in Nexus! This doesn’t happen very often here, so cash in on this nice opportunity! The singer Marie Curry from Hamburg polished the rap songs from Neonschwarz, and that happened with the song “on a journey”, to mention one example, which became a hit on Youtube. Her most famous song “Flora bleibt” is still one of their public’s favorite songs. Nicolas Sturm and the Klingen Ensemble is the cherry on top. From Pop to African Rythms, he will be playing together with the multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Dhome.

Metaltanz
Maintain, Forever it shall be, We are Wolf und Artic Island im B58 | 20 Uhr Einlass , Beginn 21 Uhr | 5 Euro
Whoever had enough from “Tanzen in den Mai”, should then go and „moch“ a little a bit. The B58 offers this Friday a nice lineup of Metal bands. You are even allowed to think about it as a small Metal festival. Hardcore and Metal are of course included in the program.

Saturday, 03.05.

Honky Tonk!
Honky Tonk Kneipenfestival in der ganzen Stadt | 21 Uhr | 9,99 Euro Eintrittsbändchen
Fingers corssed: the weather is good and it’s time again for Honky Tonk, the iconic city’s music event! In 18 different locations, this time you will have the chance to see 18 different bands and solo artists. So, how to become a “Honker” (or how would you call someone who attends this event??)? You just have to buy a ribbon and then: let’s go! It’s amazing how many good bands, places and cool people you get to know during the Honky Tonk! For everyone recommended.

Dark-Electro goes festival
Electro Forces Festival im B58 | 20 Uhr | 8 Euro inkl. Aftershow mit DJs
The popular event for all lovers of the dark sound of Dark Electro, Synthpop, Darkwave, Industrial and EBM. This evening a huge festival is planned! Four live gigs of Desastroes, In Good Faith, Second Version and The Saint Paul are on the list! This event is likely to gather a lot of people, so try to safe your place on the dance floor!

Fluid Chamber im Stereowerk | 22 Uhr – 11 Uhr/open end (Ja, 11 Uhr morgens am Sonntag) | 10 Euro + Gratisdrink
The Fluid Chamber celebrates! The last party in the Stereowerk was a success and that’s why we will have it again for its tenth time! Enjoy the huge Electro/Techno-Party and a free sekt. There will be a nice feast with Minimal-Beats, Drum&Bass and DeepHouse split in two different dance floors. A 12 hours program with national and regional Dj’s, just take a look to the line-up, is definitively worth going!

Here punkers, this is for you: A concert with three strictly punk and some experimental punk bands. There is nothing more to say, just punk. End of story. Go punk and have fun.

Montday, 05.05.

Post für euch
Tiny Vessels und Hard Luck im Nexus | 20.00 Uhr | ca. 6 Euro
How will Tiny Vessels interpret the concept of Post-Hardcore? Let’s see! The only thing we know about them so far is that they like to experiment a lot.  Good, and what about the guys from Hard Luck (who by the way will be playing with former members of Separatist)? They go more traditional, something more Old School-Hardcore-Punk. Just go there and take a look, will be for sure a lot of fun.
